Maurice and I wish you a delightful Sunday. Spot Maurice and I wish you a delightful Sunday.

Spotted him on a wall near the location of an upcoming live stroll, scheduled on Saturday.

Off to bed. It’s been a busy weekend discussing Paris and la Belle France with fellow travelers and francophiles.

See you on a social media channel near you later this week.

Bonjour, Rainy day “petit déj.” Delicious e Bonjour,

Rainy day “petit déj.”

Delicious enough to be framed.

Another #petitbonheur as I prepare to take France with Véro club members on a (soggy) mystery stroll in Paris later today.

Bol de café noir. Check.
Jus d’orange pressé frais. Check.
Pain aux raisins. Check.

My grandma would be so proud!

Merci to @bringfrancehome, local purveyor of fine French gifts, for this treasured “bol” made by la Faïencerie de Gien.

Bon week-end à tous!

My French life.

Bonjour, When Parisian life *must* be enjoyed #e Bonjour,

When Parisian life *must* be enjoyed #enterrasse in spite of lockdowns or curfews.

That’s the spirit, Paris!

France with Véro Club Members will discover this and more Parisian street scenes on an exclusive YouTube stroll on Saturday at 5:00pm Paris.

Do you enjoy the content I share daily on social media? April Is a great time to join the France with Véro club on Patreon.

Fun live events lined up this spring (two just this weekend) to celebrate the Club’s first anniversary.

The “Flâneur” level is ridiculously cheap and unlocks ALL live events and an unlimited stream of content in English... and in French.

The question is: Why haven’t you joined this friendly community yet if you are a Francophile and miss Paris and France?!

Club membership info in Bio.

Bon week-end,

Bonjour,

Not all Paris passages are covered.

It’s always my great pleasure to find these special corners of the French capital, as I scout for upcoming virtual tours - or when I just stroll in the city’s outskirts.

This is where some of my favorite adventures happen. Can’t wait to take you through this “passage” soon.

Parc de Belleville this afternoon... before snow ( Parc de Belleville this afternoon... before snow (yes, snow!) fell for over 30 minutes! Where did our early summer go?!

Good thing scouting for this weekend’s virtual tour (taking France with Véro Club Members around that vibrant Parisian neighborhood) kept me busy... and warm.

Brrrrrrr...

Joyeuses Pâques ! Happy Easter! For days now, M Joyeuses Pâques ! Happy Easter!

For days now, Monoprix, local boulangers and chocolatiers have reminded us Easter was around the corner.

The French love chocolate . They will certainly enjoy more this weekend in any way, shape or form.

More on that scrumptious topic on Monday with a new French language video vignette.

Bon week-end!

It’s a wrap. Today, I treated viewers to two l It’s a wrap.

Today, I treated viewers to two live virtual tours in an old Paris village off the beaten tourist path.

The public stroll took us to village homes, an old church, and a charismatic cemetery cat (YouTube link in Bio.)

Later, France with Véro Club Members had a chance to discover a secret garden with a mysterious wall...

The replay awaits if you’ve missed the Charonne virtual tour. Join the France with Véro Club on Patreon to unlock another replay and visit one of the most unexpected green spaces in Paris.

Bonjour, Parisian weather gods have gifted us wit Bonjour,

Parisian weather gods have gifted us with summer-like temps all week. This has helped boost troops’ morale as the French government announced new restrictions around the country mid-week.

France is not all doom and gloom.

Meet me in the former village of Charonne (20th arrondissement) on Saturday where the past meets the present, away from well-trodden paths in the French capital.

Mark your calendar: Facebook Live (France with Véro page) 5:00pm Paris - 8:00am PDT - 11:00am EDT

You enjoyed the content I shared on social media this week, in particular those impromptu Facebook live strolls around the Bastille? Bien 🙂

A big shout-out to those who make it all possible: France with Véro Club Members. I offer one of the most generous and versatile Patreon programs out there, and it’s just turned one! Not only has it survived in 2020, it’s thrived, with close to 600 members.

We will be celebrating the Club’s First anniversary in style over the next few days with events created just for France with Véro Patrons. They include an extension tour of a peaceful garden many never see near Charonne on Saturday, a Live virtual tour around Belleville, and a private Facebook “apéro” where we will catch up in my Parisian apartment about travel plans and other news.

Join the fun! — The “Flâneur” level is the most popular tier in the program, for good reason: The cost of two lattes a month gets you in and gives you access to ALL live events. Prepare to be impressed as you enjoy fun, educational, original content and exclusive events, in English… and in French!

This is the beginning of the month, the best time to join the Club and reward your inner francophile! It’s risk-free: You can cancel at any time. My guess is you’ll hang out with our friendly francophile community for a while once you’ve met us 😉

See you on Saturday? (Hint: Join the Club before the public tour if you want to make the private extension tour afterwards! Patreon link in Bio)

When summer-like temps prompt Parisians to step ou When summer-like temps prompt Parisians to step outside, any way they can.

These photos sum up why so many locals have been packing their bags to invest in the (greenest) Parisian suburbs or in “la province” over the last few months. Telecommuting has made the exodus possible, a topic I discussed at length with my French students this week. Balconies, terraces, patios and gardens: Here they come!

“Les terrasses” outside cafés and restaurants used to be the extension of our diminutive living-rooms. For a few minutes or a few hours each day, they offered extra space and fresh air.

They are no more and unlikely to return until early summer.

Reasons why I’d rather sit on this uncomfortable and overpriced window ledge than go back outside later today?

I’ll give you two:

Up here I can feel the sun on my face and don’t have to wear a face mask.

I can drink my “express” in a real cup.

Priorities.

April Fools’ Day 2021. Who’s laughing now?
