Tour with Véro

See Paris through the eyes of a native. Become a temporary local.

Making friends in France

Who I am

Bonjour,

Véronique here. My friends call me Véro [Vay-Row]

For the last two decades, in the United States and in France, I have shared my love of France and French culture as a travel blogger, French language instructor, public speaker and tour guide.

What I do

After 23 years in Seattle, WA, I relocated back to France in 2019; led custom private Paris tours and worked as a tour guide for Rick Steves Europe. In 2019, I spent over 100 days with visitors around Paris and France and had many adventures I have been thrilled to share with clients and on social media.

They have toured with Vero…

In their own words…

Veronique was outstanding. Her knowledge of the area was excellent, and she was very easy to talk with. She was excited about everything and that rubbed off on all of us travelers. We were lucky to have her as our guide. Dianne S.

Veronique was fantastic! She was a good listener and storyteller. I appreciate her narrative about her family history. Hearing about people’s everyday lives (as opposed to a recitation or linear account of history) gives more meaning and a better understanding of a country’s culture & history. Florence E

Tour with Véro on YouTube and Facebook Live, for free!

While many international travelers couldn’t come to France in 2020 and 2021 I brought France to them. As a virtual tour guide, I focus on doing what I do best: sharing quality, original content on Paris and France, via live streamed events and video guided tours.

How often do you get to look at France and French culture through the eyes of a native? Tour with Véro on my YouTube channel where I share favorite guided walks around Paris and la Belle France. There’s more: I live-stream throughout the month from favorite (and lesser-known) corners of France in my Facebook community (all Live tour replays available on YouTube.) Join the fun!

New in 2022: Join me in my city, Tours, Loire Valley!

I moved to Tours in the spring of 2021. As soon as I arrived in town on the first of many exploration visits in 2020, I guessed this beautiful mid-sized city, the gateway to the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was special.

So it is. I’ve spent hours walking the streets of Tours and researching the area’s cultural, historical and gastronomic heritage. You know how much I love it here if you follow me on social media where I share Tours and my French life daily.

Join me on half-day and full-day tours and let me introduce you to my favorite neighborhoods in Tours. Together, we will travel from the past to the present, as we explore medieval streets and lively squares and discover the lives of locals, then and now.

Tours can be run in English and in French (Higher Intermediate or Advanced speakers only.) Find general information below. Reach out to me for details.

All tours include a city map and a follow-up email with customized recommendations based on your interests.

Please note I am returning to tour guiding for Rick Steves Europe in the spring and the fall 2022. My availability for in-person tours (or meet-ups!) is therefore limited.
